When the first of caterpillars discovers the first obsession of the first stars, the Nature of things changes forever more..


<3 I am finally able to upload it here.

Primoris Lepidoptera is essentially a learning curve of my three years at the animation department in the Estonian Academy of Arts. When I begun work on it, my skills were still fairly raw and unrefined, but gradually they became better bit by bit in both animation, timing and workflow/planning.

I don't consider it masterful, there's certainly a lot of parts to improve upon, but for what it is (a manner of visual progress in skill), it works.

The story itself is in essence a creation myth.

The animation is hand-drawn, the scenes were coloured in Photoshop Elements and compiled in Monkey Jam, then mixed together with music in Sony Vegas Movie Studio :3
